Beth Morrison Projects | BMP: Songbook
Project Architect & Lead Producer
Created in celebration of Beth Morrison Projects' 20th anniversary, BMP: Songbook is an ambitious, multi-platform retrospective honoring two decades of groundbreaking contemporary opera and music-theater. The project encompasses a two-volume anthology of more than 60 arias from 35 operas, a 27-track double album, a nearly 500-page illustrated retrospective featuring archival photography, essays, and interviews, and a live concert production presented at the 2026 PROTOTYPE Festival.
As the architect and lead producer of the project, Alexis helped shape its overarching concept and guided its development from initial planning through publication, recording, performance, and release. Her work spanned artistic and editorial development, repertoire curation, artist and composer relations, licensing, publishing, production management, and marketing strategy. Working across a wide network of artists, publishers, recording professionals, designers, and institutional partners, she helped bring the project's interconnected components to life.
More than a retrospective, BMP: Songbook celebrates the creative legacy of Beth Morrison Projects while making contemporary operatic repertoire more accessible to singers, educators, and audiences for generations to come.
