Alexis Peart
Mezzo-Soprano

Chicago-based mezzo-soprano Alexis Peart has been praised for her “plush yet robust voice” and “incredible clarity" in roles ranging from baroque operas to world premiere performances. Alexis joins the Ryan Opera Center at the Lyric Opera of Chicago in the 25/26 season, making her house debut as Kate Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly) and the Second Image of Frida (El último sueño de Frida y Diego). She also covers Lola (Cavalleria Rusticana), Despina (Così fan tutte), and Second Maidservant (Medea). Additional 25/26 engagements include covering Ruggiero (Alcina) with Haymarket Opera and the mezzo soloist in Mahler’s 3rd Symphony with Vista Philharmonic Orchestra.

A former Jane & Steven Akin Emerging Artist with Boston Lyric Opera, performance highlights include Arbate (Mitridate, re di Ponto), Big Stone (Eurydice), Tisbe (La Cenerentola), and the creation of the role of The Choreographer in The Seasons, a reimagination of Vivaldi’s music by Sarah Ruhl and Anthony Roth Costanzo in collaboration with A Modern Opera Company (AMOC).
